JOB DESCRIPTION

Applications are invited from interested Unemployed students, graduates, and post-graduates who want to be part of the exciting Technology Innovation Agency’s Internship Program in partnership with Energy and Water SETA (EWSETA).

PURPOSE OF  INTERNSHIP:

Develop a pool of young Critical Thinkers and provide skills that will stimulate innovation and provide life skills and work readiness (Basic Business, Technical, and Life Skills Training) through mentorship. Provide workplace experience to graduates allowing them practical exposure to their academic training, and enhancing their employability. Successful interns will be placed nationally across various TIA Offices, Platforms, and TIA host companies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

South Africans, with national certificates/diplomas, university graduates, or post-graduates in the following categories are eligible to apply: (Candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply).

• 001 Internship – Matric + 1-to-2-year Certificate (or P1/P2) or Diploma;
• 002 Internship – Degree, BTech or Advanced Diploma or Post Graduate up to Masters;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 The Intern’s responsibilities will include amongst others assisting and supporting research, administration, and project management activities within the project, Industry, or Business Units and sector where they will be placed. The Intern will be reporting to the Line Manager/Mentor within the business unit
