Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a National Diploma in Film and Television, Advertising and Media studies or equivalent qualification (NQF 6)
  • 3-4 years’ experience in  promotions/advertising/ broadcasting & production environment
  • Experience in creative script writing
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong Administrative skills
  • Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge and understanding of On-Air TV broadcasting
  • Understanding of broadcasting policy
  • Computer literacy
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Creative thinking, coming up with innovative concepts
  • Ability to do research
  • Knowledge of editing (directing post-production operators)

Key Duties:

Familiarize yourself with the brief and material and to conceptualise a product. Produce a storyboard / mood board idea and write a script. Complete the pre-production planning and administration. Check programme schedule in order to ensure that the promo is accurate. To ensure that all of the source material and shot logs are received and available before the production.

To direct the appropriate editors, graphic designers and sound engineers in order to ensure the combination of audio, video and copy material creates the desired product. Present final product to the Creative Director for approval and deliver it to the Administrator for coding. Ensure that post production administration is completed and that cue sheets are submitted. Adhere to deadlines. Work extra hours/overtime  as and when required. Perform basic offline editing skills.

Liaise with relevant Stakeholders and maintain an effective, professional interface all the time. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the required business documents. Ensure compliance to Video Entertainment policies and procedures. Adhere to organisational quality and production standards. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of business unit.
