DHA: Cadet Learnership Programme 2023/2024

Duration: 12 Months Contract 

Stipend: R4,500.00 per month

Location: All Provinces

The Department of Home Affairs in collaboration with the Public Sector Education and Training Authority (PSETA) invites applications for the 2023 Cadet Learnership Programme. This is a Youth Development Empowerment initiative that supports the National Development Plan’s idea of formalized recruitment schemes that through theoretical training and experiential learning, allow unemployed youth of South Africa to gain skills, knowledge and experience whilst at the same time, positioning themselves for active and meaningful participation in the labour market. 

The Cadet Learnership Programme comprises both theoretical and practical components aimed at training on the National Certificate: Home Affairs Services which exposes learners to the core business of the Department (Civic Services and Immigration Services). Preference will be given to youth who reside within proximity of the office where the post is based.

Basic Requirements: 

• South African citizens only, 
• Aged between 18 to 35 years
• A Grade 12 Certificate

Number of learnership opportunities by provinces:

• Gauteng: 8 POSTS
• Free State: 6 Posts
• KwaZulu-Natal: 9 Posts
• Eastern Cape: 7 posts
• Limpopo: 8 posts
• North West: 6 posts
• Mpumalanga: 6 posts
• Western Cape: 5 posts
• Northern Cape: 5 posts
