Job Advert Summary
The purpose of the Production Technology Learnership is to provide practical and theoretical training in production operations, equipping learners with the skills and experience needed to work in a technical manufacturing environment. The 12-month program aims to develop entry-level talent by exposing learners to production processes, machine operations and workplace systems.
- Learners will receive a monthly Stipend from the company and will be placed in the company (for the duration of the learnership) in order to apply the practical learning component.
- Intake is merit based and candidates who do not meet the stipulated criteria will not be considered.
- Candidates are requested to send their updated CV’s with the following documentation attached:
– ID
– Matric certificate / statement of results
– Proof of banking details (letter from the bank)
-Proof of tax registration (SARS letter) - Please note that NO IMMEDIATE FAMILY from VRN Gauteng, VRN Central Warehouse or VRN Head Office may apply.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Minimum of 50% in English – Essential.
- Minimum of 50% in Mathematics – Essential.
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write, and speak) – Essential.
- Age 18 – 28
- Available and committed to complete a full year (12 months) of training – practical time will be set in technical environment.
- Must reside in Germiston or surrounding area.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with production line activities.
- Learn production machine procedures.
- Support operators and supervisor with operational tasks.
- Understand operational workflow and distribution workflow.
- Participate in skills assessments and practical training.
